Palliative Care at PSH

When Rahul returned home from Mumbai, doctors had told him there was nothing more they could do for his cancer. He had spent what money he had—and had little hope left.

Then he was referred to Prem Sewa Hospital’s palliative care team.

Palliative care isn’t just about managing pain. It means caring for the whole person—offering comfort, dignity, and support to patients and their families when an illness may no longer be curable.

At first, Rahul’s family didn’t trust the team. But the staff kept visiting their home, patiently building a relationship and teaching them how to care for him.

They also discovered a deep rift between Rahul and his daughter-in-law. The team encouraged them to reconcile—and before Rahul died, they did.

Palliative care at Prem Sewa brought comfort not only to Rahul, but healing to his family.

Your support through Renewing Hope can help Prem Sewa continue caring for families when they need it most.
