BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Mr. John Andrew
serves as chairman of EHA USA’s board. He is president of HR Performance Group, a human resources consulting firm located in the Chicago area. Mr. Andrew’s practice focuses on strategic allocation of personnel in companies of all sizes. He has traveled extensively in India and has devoted significant time to supporting EHA’s human resources needs.
Dr. Shanthini Baskaran
grew up in India and currently lives in Wisconsin along with her husband, Vinod. She has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from NIMHANS, Bangalore. Having grown up in a ministry family, Dr. Baskaran has a deep love for missions. She has been connected with EHA since 2012. Dr. Baskaran loves to read, teach, and counsel.
Mr. William Bradish
is the president and founder of Bradish Associates, Ltd, an independent insurance company serving the Chicagoland area. In addition, he has served in various capacities in his church and in leadership roles in Bible Study Fellowship. Mr. Bradish became familiar with EHA through his friendship with Dr. Howard Searle, and he was drawn to a ministry run completely by nationals who strive to help the most disadvantaged people.
Dr. Joe Duerksen
is a retired anesthesiologist who lives in the Kansas City area. He is a former medical missionary who served at Sewa Bhawan Hospital in Jagdeeshpur, now a part of the Chattisgarh state in central India.
Dr. Robert Hansen
is a retired dentist residing in the Chicago area. He has traveled to India, observing the work of EHA dentists, and supports our work as treasurer in our U.S. office. Dr. Hansen continues to find ways to encourage and support the ministry of EHA’s pioneer dental ministries.
Dr. Jeff Leman
began serving at Herbertpur Christian Hospital in Uttarakhand, India, in 2003, where he worked and trained future medical missionaries for six years. Since returning to the United States, he has helped spread the word about EHA. A family physician, Dr. Leman serves as secretary of EHA USA’s board.
Dr. Howard Searle
serves as the volunteer president for EHA USA. He lives in the greater Chicago area and is a retired physician and surgeon. Dr. Searle was instrumental in establishing EHA in the late 1960s and helped guide its transition to Indian leadership in 1974. He has traveled regularly to India and facilitated speaking engagements and itineraries of EHA leaders as they visit the United States.
Dr. Vinod Shah
currently serves as a senior surgeon at the St. Thomas Hospital & Leprosy Center in Chetpet, India. Dr. Shah has a heart for medical missions, and he served as EHA’s Medical Director from 1989-1996 and then as Executive Director from 1996-2004. After that time, he served as the head of the Department of Distance Education (Medical) at the Christian Medical College and Hospital in Vellore, India, and as CEO of the International Christian Medical and Dental Association (ICDMA).
Rev. J. David Singh
is a minister ordained in the Church of South India and currently serves as the Pastor of Eternity Church in Richmond, Virginia. He is also the General Director of Inspire International, which is committed to the poor and unreached peoples of India. Rev. Singh is a Marriage & Family Therapist. He and his wife Nalini have visited Makunda Hospital every year since 2011. Dr. Singh is invested in the leadership, the families, and the spiritual nurturing of the whole community. Inspire International has provided for the construction of a maternity building and a NICU unit at an EHA hospital.
EHA USA ADMINISTRATION
Mr. Robb Hansen
serves as executive director of EHA USA. He leads the efforts of the organization to raise prayer support, resources, and awareness about EHA in the US. Mr. Hansen has previously served in leadership with several nonprofit organizations, with stints in local church ministry, higher education, missions, and media ministry. For the past decade he has led Next Level Insights, a marketing and communications firm serving a variety of organizations. In his role with EHA USA, he will continue to direct the organization’s work of supporting the ministry of the Emmanuel Hospital Association.
