With 200 beds, Duncan Hospital is EHA’s 2nd largest hospital. Employing 550 people, the hospital sees about 162,000 outpatients each year and admits 12,000 patients. It is amazing to think that means Duncan’s doctors see 400 to 500 patients a day! Surgeons perform about 3,000 surgeries annually, and about 2,700 babies are delivered by their obstetricians.

Duncan is known for offering a wide variety of medical care, including PT and OT, prosthetics and orthotics, dental care, and psychiatry. Duncan’s school of nursing has been upgraded to a college of nursing offering a Bachelor’s degree, and they are in the process of trying to increase the number of new students each year from 20 to 60.

One medical camp offered recently was a cleft lip and palate camp run in conjunction with Love Without Reason. A total of 150 children received free corrective surgery and a chance at a new life.
