Located in central India in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Lakhnadon Christian Hospital has a tiny staff of 2 doctors, 6 nurses, and 16 other workers. With just 12 beds, SBH cares for 1,700 outpatients and 99 inpatients each year. Since this hospital was closed during the pandemic, it has struggled to recover both patient flow and staff. They are excited that a new surgeon joined their team in the last month.

Many of LCH’s buildings are old and dilapidated, as you can see below. The inpatient department building has a leaking roof. Thankfully, they are about to receive funding from a foundation that will enable them to replace the roof and take on some other infrastructure needs. But there is much more to be done.
