Padmini was just 20 years old when her husband abandoned her and took away her four children. The reason? Her skin was disfigured from the condition of lupus.

She was robbed of her dignity as a woman, a wife, and a mother, and had to retreat to her parents’ home. All for the want of medical care for a treatable disease.

When her family brought Padmini to Chinchpada Christian Hospital, she was lethargic and discouraged. The medical team diagnosed her condition and began treatment. After a month of loving care, Padmini was a new woman. You can see from the photos the transformation that occurred.

The joy of the Chinchpada team was tremendous when Padmini left for home with her head held high and her dignity returned.
