Update on Lakhnadon Christian Hospital

EHA’s Lakhnadon Christian Hospital had to close its doors for two and a half years from 2019 to 2021 because they had no senior medical consultant. Services resumed in January 2022 when a doctor couple joined the staff.

The team at Lakhnadon seeks to provide quality health care at an affordable cost. With 12 general beds, 4 high-dependency beds, and 4 private rooms, Lakhnadon’s 4 doctors and 10 nurses work extremely hard to care for 80 inpatients, 3,000 outpatients, and 400 emergency patients each year.

Their greatest infrastructure needs are to repair or replace the main hospital building that was built in 1969. The clay tile roof leaks when it rains, causing unsanitary conditions in the operating rooms. They are also in need of an electrolyte analyzer ($2,400), a vehicle ($15,000), a computer and printers ($2,400), and four air conditioners ($1,925).
